Matcha Green Tea Tart @ John King, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur

A short one for the beginning of the week. We were down at Pavilion yesterday for lunch, catching up with friends. It was extremely good fun.

After lunch, we wandered around and I decided to go downstairs to try this particular tart as Paprika keeps raving about it.

The range of egg tarts have expanded to include this Matcha version and coffee plus teh tarik. Managed to snap some pictures of the place, which I didn't get the last time I blogged about this place.

Conclusion on the tart - it was good, not very strong tea taste, a light cookie crust and very smooth filling. I tried a sliver of the coffee tart too, which I liked but didn't get any since Splashie Boy hates all things coffee. As usual, Food Republic was packed with people and there was the perpetual queue at J Co Donuts. Guess things don't change much over at Pavilion. Do drop by and give this place a try.

What? A teh tarik tart? Hmm..it will be interesting if I eat the teh tarik tarik while drinking a cup of teh tarik. Or I can eat the coffee tart with teh tarik tart then drink Ying Yong in Kim Gary.

Thank goodness they have one nearby at 1U! I go to Pavilion and I feel sad (my old school torn down) "This use to be my playground..." - Madonna

daphne - yeah, makes a change from just egg tart and egg tart!

fbb - well, what can I say! You're obviously the party king.

yammylicious - the cookie skin is not bad, pretty light.

hi jun, yeah letting go is never easy. Time heals though, believe me.

paprika - hahaha, u can go get one now since so near yr place.

ling239 - I can imagine it shld. Just no froth on top?

bernsy - they have one in 1U too. Think it is at LG, near King Pie area.

jojo - am sure egg tarts are yummy in Spore. Can get those with very flaky skin.

mimi - yeah, but I find the flaky one, quite peanuty in taste though.

simon seow - hahaha, you can also eat teh tarik tart with roti canai?

moon river - I don't like the durian paste on top of the tart. Would prefer a baked durian tart instead.

henry - jalan alor yau char kuay is super yummy. I love the mah kiok, addictive with kopi-o.

bee nee - true as that has the bitter taste.

wmw - aiks. poor thing. Never mind now yr playground is big playground for all?
