Recently, I was at Delicious by Ms. Read for tea time and spied they had just launched new dishes on their menu (I think this started this week). I'm not very sure which dishes are new as the menu does not have any indication but based on the pictures they had on our table, I saw green curry, duck breast, rack of lamb, sirloin steak and chocolate pavlova. Since it was teatime, I tried the chocolate pavlova. Extremely nice as the meringue was light and slightly chewy plus dotted with chocolate chips. It was topped with lots of strawberries and double cream. It's very Nigella Lawson as I distinctively remember her making this in one of her cook shows.
My teatime companion had their scones which is always fantastic and buttery. No clotted cream here as they serve it with double cream and strawberry jam. The scones are super tiny hence you don't feel too guilty indulging in them during teatime. Sorry, I don't really remember the prices as my friend paid for the bill (Thanks so much Mau!) as I had messed up the two outlets so it was a hectic dash from the outlet in 1 Utama to the Bangsar Village to meet up with her.
They are also running a competition in conjunction with the launch of their new menu i.e. win a free stay in YTL's new Cameron Highlands resort. Not too sure what exactly were the requirements for the contest but I think there must be a certain threshold you need to spend. It's only until mid October so head one to Delicious to try the menu and hopefully win a stay at that hotel which I heard is really nice and decorated with Jim Thompson fabrics.

i love their Tiramisu!!! ;)
Mei Yen - I've not tried their tiramisu but will take up yr recommendation the next time I dine there. If you love tiramisu, go try the one in Cafe Cafe which is so yummy.
seems new items cos i was there 2 weeks ago and they were not in the menu. anyway, do drop by bakerzin to try their snowskin mooncake. it's so goood!!! hubby gave approval too as he's not a snowskin mooncake fan
babe - bakerzin is doing snowskin mooncake? Aiks! Must be super expensive. Heard good things abt the Chynna one - has Baileys version too.
Between Bakerzin and Ms Read, which do I choose before fasting starts on Sunday?
boo, i've heard of cafe cafe before and i've yet to visit them... will check them out soon...
yar..i remember watching Nigella Lawson making that chocolate pavlova- Bakerzin's onli good in Singapore unfortunately. Bakerzin here is way over priced. I somehow prefer Delicious- especially the Bangsar outlet.
fulltime mom - delicious of course and at the Bsar Village outlet as service is better there.
meiyen - Only problem abt cafe cafe is the environment outside it. Be warned the tiramisu is quite pricey - RM19 for a portion.
tihtahpah - yeah Bakerzin is very nice in Spore.
If I remember clearly the scones are RM6.90 for two at Delicious. ouch! can, can make a few batches at home already lor! Nevertheless, it is good!
Have u tried the Bakerzin's seafood pasta for 2? 3 persons can eat and it's absolutely a must!
audrey - yeah, it's quite pricey but it's been consistently good all the time we eat it. Nope not yet tried Bakerzin's pasta but it sounds really good.
boo, yeah...i oftenly passed by that area and it's really dark at nite and it seems like finding a parking is a problem too... omg, rm19 for a tiramisu?? whoaa...so expensive... very big portion?
meiyen - not very big portion also so quite pricey we thought. However it tastes really good as they got the right amt of liquid at the sponge fingers part.
Yay - New menu at Delicious!
More yummy things to try!
Thanks for the info Boo...
:)
J - u're welcome. Looking fwd to yr review on it.
