curly noodles topped with minced meat and char siu slices
A quickie for today - comfort food for the soul. Was in Taman Megah this week to make a quick stop at the bake shops hence I grabbed breakfast. Decided to check if Kolo Mee stall was open, as Fatboybakes was complaining the other day, the stall has been closed for quite some time. Happy to report the couple is back, with the wife wearing her quirky hats and they were serving the mee kolo. Tasted pretty good and lardy of course but I felt the char siu was a little harder than before. For more of this place, see my old review. This corner coffeeshop also has a pretty good Looi Cha stall.

Not easy to find good ones. Average ones come and go. I like their noodles more than the minced meat and sometimes siew cheong. The texture is good and taste quite different from the usual.
Wow. Salivating already! I hafta go hunt down the kolo mee already. Thanks, Boo!
It's baaaackk!! Yipee! Nothing beats lardy noodles topped with variants of good ol' pork... I think I might head there this weekend!

the nomadGourmand - hee hee, now everyone can try in the tune of Air Asia's everyone can fly's slogan!
worldwindows - yeah, the noodles definitely beats the meat stuff as I find them too dry for my liking.
LL - congrats on the Her World pix. Looking good, must get autograph from you the next time we meet.
550ml - did u bump into FBB?
FBB - glad you enjoyed this tip and the noodles!
food promotions - I'm sure it was very good since that is the land of Mee Kolo. Any particular place?
mimi - aiks? Make another trip back. sadly, Sarawak is the only state I have never visited in Msia, must make an Air Asia trip soon to sample the real stuff...
rambomadonna - wow, great nick. Hope you will like it, the stall owners are from sarawak and even though it ain't so genuine, the lardy goodness will overwhelm you and make you love it.
Leo - they did dissapear for a long time and nowadays, stalls kinda dissapear in a puff of smoke!
foodbin - charsiu was dry, I felt but noodles were awesome.
ciki - yup, I prefer this to face to face.
tummythoz - LOL, judging from FBB's brekkie, I guess that was just the tip of the iceberg?
