Notes:
Three restaurants from India in the Asia Top 20. An increase from two last year.
There are no restaurants from Tokyo considering it is the city awarded with the most Michelin stars. Last year, L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon in Tokyo was placed in no. 9 but it dropped out from the top 20.
Cilantro Kuala Lumpur goes up two places to no. 6 (Congratulations to Chef Takashi Kimura and his team).
New award called Chef of the Chefs Award goes to Umberto Bombana from Otto e Mezzo Bombana, Hong Kong.

I'd vote for number 4 anytime.
QuirkyMalaysia - I love no. 4 too! One of my fav places. Saw your lovely pictures of the place when I was researching it for my visit.
Sage dropped to no.5????
Eh? That's some debatable sequencing for Malaysia's Top 5, for sure. But really glad to see Cilantro moving up in the world! KL represent! Woots!
Devil's eyebrows went up when I read him Malaysia's Top 5... :P
:( I haven't even tried one place in that top 20 list :( and the world is supposed to end next year. I'm running out of time! Lol
I'm glad Sage is up there. Chef Daniel does wonderful things with fish.
Never heard of this. Will take a look.
Baby Sumo - we also scratch our heads and wonder??
Minchow -yup, am glad about Cilantro moving up. The chaps there are all darn pleased with themselves. We celebrated their win last Friday with a great meal there.
Life for Beginners - LOL, everyone's eyebrows raised an extra mile with how the list panned out. And somemore Equatorial Hotel will be pulled down next year. Sigh.
J - oops, time to run to Cilantro (I thought you went?), Singapore or HK?
The Yum List - sigh, Chef Daniel is rather good and should have been up higher I reckon. No match for the others.
Au&Target - not a thing that will bring kitty treats. U know, they should do cat food lists? How about that?
Oh wow! Just dined at L'Atelier in HK last week without realising its ranking (current or previous). It was superb!
What an interesting blog. I really like it. This gala was surely awesome. Thank you for sharing.
