What's so stinky?
Fluff Puff is one amazing kitten! Not sure why but she's really a greedy gal and if you're eating anything aromatic, she will rush up to you and mew for some. I find it amazing as my other cats prefer to stick to their cat food. I dare not feed her all the time (she even asks for spicy food!) but I did discover that she absolutely loves cake. So far she has eaten butter cake, sugee cake and this weekend, she discovered the joys of an orange madeline specially brought back from France. You crumble the cake/madeline and she goes mad for it, hoovering it up quickly like a high powered vacuum cleaner. Oh well, I guess she is trying to tell me that it's time I buy a madeline tray to bake her some since it's impossible to get any nice ones here in Kuala Lumpur.
Head over to eat stuff for a guest kitty picture (the gorgeous Rudy) plus an announcement on WCB's first birthday celebrations.

One of my cats is turning into quite the foodie as well, trying all sorts of non-cat-food food.
What's with all the madeleine discussions on the food blogs? Now I have to get a pan and try it. It sounds so good.
My cats always check out what I'm eating but are not really interested. The only thing they really get excited about is the stinky wet cat food they get on special occasions! They don't even want fish when I cook it for myself sometimes. Are my cats really cats?
aria - I know! It's so strange as she loves cake. Don't think I have read that cats love cake.
shannon - hee hee, I think our cats are trying to become human.
d - maybe becoz she is a kitten she thinks anything stinky is nice? She was definitely attracted to the stinky tofu but ran away when I offered her a piece.
Yeah, only one of my cats go crazy when I fry fish hence I don't usually cook fish at home as I'll have to feed them my share. The other two can't be bothered esp the one who has eaten Science Diet all her life.
omg - r u telling us the cats love the SINTKY TOFU too ? chuckle!
Our family's cat we had when I was a kid used to love doughnuts! Is cake Fluff Puff's favourite?
So cute!
can't really see the cat clearly..but i think it's cute..rite?haha..yea, wanna ask..is that dangerous for cat to eat those human food?
LOLOLOL
if kiri smells something smelly he shakes his paw at it and the bounds away.....
I think you need to bake some of my madeleines....
I love your kitty and your blog! It will become a favorite. So impressed with your gorgeous photos. I have something to aspire to. I don't know how to use the wonderful Sony Cybershot my husband gave me yet -- but I'm working on it! Cheers.
My Miki eats cake too, and he and Sayan eat a lot of vegetables... Cats are really strange, no?
Such a cute photo. LOL, madeleines have taken over the food blogosphere!
Always enjoy your informative food posts. Thanks, Boo! : )
shes so cute and curious :D
Sorry, but I couldn't help noticing the hole in the styrofoam. Did the hawker cut it in? Must have been stinking if they did!
By the way, one of my pet dogs has no qualms about eating vegetables - it even tries to eat grass sometimes!
foodcrazee - she was just curious abt the smell. Usually cats like smelly stuff.
jelly - Yeah, I think she loves cake as she ate the madeline so fast I did not managed to snap a pix of her.
rosa - I love maruschka esp her very furry tummy.
clare - that's why I think strange as the rest will run away too. This one just mews and mews for some. Yeah, I think I shld look for a tray but I suspect not easy to get them in KL.
lisa - thxs and good luck with yr new camera. I used a Sony Cybershot before and it's easy.
milie - really? wow! She doesn't really eat vegetables but sometimes she chews the grass in the garden. Think that's her natural hairball remedy.
farmgirl - yes! madeline! madeline! and we're not talking abt the cartoon gal.
catesa - yes she is! Very curious esp when it comes to food.
elb - I think they cut it so the tofu does not get soggy. My cats also eat grass - it's healthy for them.
pity they are sooo big.... I think I paid about $15 aud for mine... but if they have a sale (which they do alot) I will keep an eye out for you.
But you can use a mini muffin pan instead and there are photos of the resulting cupcakes(?) in the book... or julia says that you could try using scallop shells!
clare - I'll search first. If not I'll try and use a mini muffin pan. Scallop shells - LOL! Doubt they are easier to find here.
