No more Ramadan posts for the year, as I am currently away this week - in the Midwest USA. Had a long grueling flight here....imagine sitting down for almost 24 hours and 4 planes! It is good to be back in the USA, I just realised when I did my visa application, it has been 8 long years since I last visited in Dallas, Texas.
Since it is mainly a work trip, that gets priority first. However we get the evenings off, so there is some flexibility to search for food. I plan to start blogging on old entries this week, as I still have Internet connection all the way. Uploaded the pictures before I left, hopefully no technical difficulties.
wah ... your work takes you all the way to USA?!
ReplyDeleteenvious.

ReplyDeleteBoo,
ReplyDeleteWhich part of US are you now? Any chance to visit me in Richmond VA..?? DC is about an hour and half from my house.
Welcome to the US, I have been a big fan of your blog for years, I must say I noticed some thing different this year, because your Ramadan coverage this year is much less, so being here explain every thing. if you ever make to washington dc area, I want to tell you that you will not starve, we do have 3 malaysian restaurant, Penang in Bethesda (that is my favorite because of it's easy atmosphere), Penang in washington dc M street (not related to the first), not bad either but cater more to party goers, and Malaysia Kopitam next to the second but I never tried, needless to say that all three are not like the original (home) but they are very decent. there is a couple more Malaysian chefs in washington DC operating in Asian restaurant not exactly Malaysian by name I ate in one before and I can tell the influence. in the mean time, you can use the help of a local near by Asian grocery store, and a recipe from rasamalaysia.com and just imagine you are back home, best of luck, be safe.
ReplyDeletelooks like u have a following all the way in USA too! Have fun there :)
