Weekend Cat Blogging (WCB) 131 - Rest in Peace Fatso

I know the picture above is kinda blurry but sadly those are the few images I have of Fatso, the kitten who passed away yesterday. Ever since the kittens grew up, we decided to let them out of the cage to run around to stretch their legs. They get into crazy antics jumping around and somehow Fatso ended up in the neighbour's house. Poor fella, he just froze there and didn't know what to do to get out. Unfortunately the neighbour's Rottweiller found him before we could rescue him hence he lost his life.

I was really upset when that happened since I had vowed to keep the kittens safe. Felt really helpless we couldn't help him escape. That day was made worst as I reckon the next door neighbour had abandoned her kitties since she shifted house. Weird how some people are so heartless to leave their pets and run off somewhere else. We have been feeding them for quite some time since they cross the road and come mewing for food from us. Unfortunately one of the kittens (there's 3 kittens and a mummy cat) had an accident last night as a car ran it down.
This was late at night but by then I was convinced that was definitely the worst Friday ever.

Whatever happens now, I get paranoid about the kittens and hope they will be okay. I also hope Fatso and the kitten is happy in kitty heaven where all kitty wishes come true whether it is yummy food and lots of things to chase. Rest in peace kitties!

  1. I'm so, so sorry! You are doing a wonderful thing for the kitties and the accident with Fatso is not your fault. These things happen, so remember all that you have done for cats. As long as I've read your blog, you've been a friend to kitties! My neighbor abandoned her cats too, and I've been feeding them for several years. Makes you wonder about people. Upsie and I send you a huge hug and all our love.

  3. Oh geez you must feel very bad these are no good news at all ! I just could kill people who move out of their houses and leave their animals behind as if it were garbadge. My friend just took the neighbor's cat into her home because he went away and left the poor kitten there !
    It is a shame !

  6. Thank you so much for all yr kind words. We're all ok and missing Fatso. I think the other kitten is missing its sibling as it kept coming over to the hse. Was so worried that it will be run down so I kept going back to chase it home.
