Should I switch to the New Blogger template?

I think my blog is acting up because I have yet to switch over to the new template. Now Blogger has taken one step to just ask me to convert when I log in. In fact, if I didn't look carefully I would have been automatically converted.

Since I'm old school when it comes to IT related issues (something which baffles a lot of friends since I have a technically inclined other half), I have been resisting the conversion so far. Anyway, I'll put it up to all of you whether I should convert or not as I think quite a number of you have experienced the conversion? Should I go over to the dark side as that will give me the ultimate power and faster access speed? Do tell and I'll work on the conversion ASAP.

Sorry for the Star Wars references as I have been watching the repeats during the festive season.

CONVERT (with a capital C)!! i have changed to blogger beta for some time now and it's so much more user-friendly. There are some new features like post labels/categories, public/private view and many more which i have not explored also.

most importantly, it's much faster and easier to post, edit and change stuff in templates! only can think of `pros' and not even a `con'. so what are u waiting for? :)

  2. I am always worried becoz of the size of my blog though. Okay, guess it could be time to bite the bullet. Suspect Blogger wants us to convert by hook or crook.

I've used both the old and new blogger and I definitely see lots of advantages on the new blogger. As jesscet rightly put, it's more user-friendly, has lots of new features and it's faster too. You'll have loads of fun.

  4. lyrical lemongrass - wow, so many late birds tonite. thxs for the tip. Incidentally I was craving for that assam fish you spoke of but since it was pretty late when I decided to eat out, guess it would have been sold out by then.

I've been using the new blogger but not fully switched over as my layout is still the older one. Is that what you you mean? I've not been prompted to use the new template though. Not really having any problems with new blogger (which is no longer in beta I think).

  8. wmw - hmmmm, so far no one has problems. Is what they discuss in the forums a myth?

  15. Babe_kl - you don't have a choice anymore though so it looks like it's either convert or switch to something else.

  19. team bsg and honeystar - think it's becoz blogger beta had such negative press everyone didn't want to convert. I read quite a lot of comments against it hence I didn't want to convert.

fatboybakes - ya lor, super slow of me as usual.
