Rambutans

I seem to be having all these small little posts this whole week, probably because I am dreading doing this huge one I have from my archives that needs massive editing of photos. I got these rambutans from the neighbour as a thank you gift for looking after the kitties during the festive season. They are pretty unusual and extremely sweet as usually the ones we get are red ones (click on the link to see the red ones and the inside of the rambutan). It's definitely rambutan season again as all the trees in the neighbourhood are full with ripe rambutans.

Reminds me of one of my dad's childhood stories, he went to steal some rambutans from a neighbour's tree with his younger brother and he found out my uncle was colour blind as he kept picking the green ones telling my dad, they are all red and ripe! Needless to say, he was banned from all future rambutan picking trips after that.
