Didn't try the laksa as it was already quite hot outside and no grilled fish since it was lunchtime. Will try to go during the night time to try out the grilled fish and fried mushrooms.boo_licioushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00727039659969643180noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12324774.post-1147338520884192782006-05-11T17:08:00.000+08:002006-05-11T17:08:00.000+08:00Their thai food stall is excellent, the one behind...Their thai food stall is excellent, the one behind the koi pond. Try their thai chicken laksa. Very pedas!

The nasi lemak stall has great ayam rendang and of course their plain nasi lemak biasa is simply scrumptious. However the last time I was there I decided to try the the nasi lemak daging rendang and was disappointed as the beef gravy was slightly salty. Next time will stick to the regular nasi lemak ayam rendang!

They also have something at the grilled fish stall called Chicken Fish, a kind of snapper I think, not too sure about fish names as I'm carnivorous and usually eat meat. If you order one grilled fish you get the second one for free! The fish was good the the first time we ate there, but the second time we ordered the fish was bland.

And their juice stall is great. A huge 1.5 litre (?) juggernaut of juice for RM4.50. Try the watermelon juice!Anne Vhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00741540499289419526noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12324774.post-1147313374514242362006-05-11T10:09:00.000+08:002006-05-11T10:09:00.000+08:00Sue - thanks for the suggestion! Must try the fried oyster mushrooms since I love mushrooms.

swee - will search for it.

whistler - halal dim sum will of course always taste different but some do it quite well you don't even notice the lack of pork i.e. Eric's Deli is pork free.

fulltime mom - I won't post the pixs of the Muslim Chinese place we went as the food although cheap was extremely dissapointing - people will get swayed by the nice pixs I took even though the taste was bad. It was near the USJ 11 mosque.

tulan - hahaha, think we will need to split it up with more people as it's huge. Don't mind the more the merrier to try out the food.boo_licioushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00727039659969643180noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12324774.post-1147271926347506992006-05-10T22:38:00.000+08:002006-05-10T22:38:00.000+08:00Heard a lot about Asia Cafe from friends too but n...Heard a lot about Asia Cafe from friends too but never been there before. boo, should be hard for you to try out all the food there right? he he... let me help you then.mhhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00058393386683705995noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12324774.post-1147270457400275352006-05-10T22:14:00.000+08:002006-05-10T22:14:00.000+08:00thanks for the tip! The Sarawak Kolo Mee was quite good too but I'm not sure if it's closed down...the stalls there have quite a high turnover rate! The grilled fish and the cheap RM18 crab with fried bread is also worth a try!

Enjoy :)Pink Ellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06864433556465176272noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12324774.post-1147226725192221162006-05-10T10:05:00.000+08:002006-05-10T10:05:00.000+08:00Actually so far the best dumplings we had which we...Actually so far the best dumplings we had which were halal is Tian Shan in Berjaya Times Square.
