Sunday Brunch @ Delicious, 1 Utama Shopping Centre

Breakfast at Delicious is always a great experience. Only available during the weekends or public holidays, I love to chill out here for a leisurely breakfast or brunch. An essential for breakfast for Splashie Boy is the Hot Honey Lemon. Pour as much honey as you like in a cup of hot water with a slice of lemon for a satisfying drink. It's also one of my favourite cold solutions as the combination soothes sore throats and flus immediately.

Splashie Boy had the Decadent French Toast which was served with beef bacon and grilled bananas (RM17.90). Here the soft bun is soaked in an eggy mixture and then pan fried till cooked. Drizzle lots of syrup and it's good with the bacon and sweet grilled bananas. For other sweet tooth people, there's also vanilla waffles which is served with white chocolate and strawberries and ricotta hotcakes with honeyed mascarpone and berry compote.

For my breakfast, I decided to pick my items to assemble a hearty breakfast. First was two eggs perfectly scrambled which came topped with toast (RM7.90). You can actually choose how you wish to have your eggs whether they're scrambled, fried or poached. I also ordered an order of sauteed button mushrooms (RM3.90) which is a must for me since I love mushrooms. Simply fried with butter, it was delicious especially with the creamy eggs. Then I also had an order of their home made baked beans (RM1.90) which I didn't think much. Maybe my taste buds have been conditioned for the canned variety that I can't appreciate home made ones.

Other items you can pick from the menu for your breakfast are roasted cherry tomatoes, hash browns, avocado, streaky beef bacon, chicken sausages or if you feel like something luxurious, smoked salmon. For breads, there's toast which a choice of breads, home made croissants and decadent sounding toasted chocolate brioche. They also serve corn fritters (doesn't that remind you of Bill Granger straight away) and corned hash with eggs and tomatoes which reminds me of campside breakfasts.

Although prices here are quite hefty, the food is extremely good down to every forkful of creamy scrambled eggs. Not a place to dine all the time but great place to catch up with friends or family. One good thing also is if you sleep in late during the weekends, this menu is available till 6pm so no need to rush here early in the morning for these items. The breakfast is available at 1 Utama and Bangsar Village II. Heard that they're working on another outlet at Mid Valley Megamall Concourse Area where Secret Recipe used to be located right opposite Starbucks.

Breakfast @ Delicious

The scrambled eggs look PERFECT. Not overcooked (like in so many places!) and still a little runny...just the way I like it.

Your breakfasts look great. What is beef bacon like? What part of the cow is it from? What is it like? Is it like pork bacon?

lemongrass - it was perfect. Worth every sen!

big boys oven - don't work too hard! Glad you did some shopping in Isetan.

kampungboycitygal - available from 9am to 6pm but only during the weekends or public holiday.

jun - ah, sounds like a good plan to hit here when you read home.

mamabok - poor thing! I reckon if you open a restaurant there, you'll be rolling in big bucks.

lannae - no idea which part it comes from but beef bacon can be chewy versus crispy pork bacon as it does not have so much fat.

i thought the bacon was abit out of place for me when i ordered it..just a shameless attempt to hike up the price of me having french toast..but nevermind..

i cant seem to find the time for another visit..or cook my own scramble..argh...

from the start sounded to me like someone referred to bill granger's cookbook - especially the ricotta hotcakes, corn fritters, and the creamy scrambled eggs
